regarding the future I have nothing to say
(2023) is a collaborative film that evolved out of a partnership. In this work, Saturne Camus-Govoroff and Li Tavor explore  shared moments of transition in their respective lives as well as in their relationship. Constantly observing each-other and actively reflecting on their connection, the two artists come together around a shared intent to dismantle normative conceptions of love.

In the movie, Saturne Camus-Govoroff and Li Tavor are featured as both filmmakers and protagonists, companions and strangers. Drawing on critical histories of film and photography, the camera’s focus and frame exposes the person in front of it as much as the one holding it. The camera becomes a tool that reinforces trust between the two individuals, while also creating distance. With this video work, the two artists reflect on their own gaze, as they find new ways of watching one another. Considering the fluidity of their relationship, their emotions, and their own physicality, the work becomes an intimate space in which they can not only present themselves through performance but also break free from expectations and embody different facettes of their personalities with spontaneity.

regarding the future I have nothing to say was premiered at Amore (Basel, CH) in April 2023 and selected in the 2023 edition of Homografia Festival (Bruxelles, BE).
